If you'd like to rent a motorboat from us in Friesland for four people, we'll do everything we can to help. We regularly sail them ourselves, so we know the boats inside and out.

- Luxurious amenities. Our boats for 4 people feature two comfortable sleeping areas, each with its own shower and toilet. There's also a cozy dinette for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can take a refreshing dip from the swimming platform.
No boating license required

What if I have little or no sailing experience?
No prior sailing experience is required to charter one of our yachts. Upon departure, we do ask that you complete at least a two-hour instruction session. You can reserve this when booking.
During the course, you'll learn about mooring and maneuvering the boat, as well as various boating regulations. The course is also available in 3- or 8-hour sessions. If you'd like to know which option is best for your situation, we're happy to help you with the rental process.

What is included in the price?
The rental price you see includes final cleaning, a brief instruction upon departure, and administration fees. You'll also receive a full water and fuel tank upon departure, as well as gas and water maps for the northern provinces.
Additional costs to consider: bridge fees and some moorings. You should also factor in fuel costs: in addition to fuel during the journey, we expect you to return the boat with a full tank.

Can I also rent extras?
Of course!
You can rent a linen package, a towel package, or a pillow/duvet and sheet set. For extra comfort (or if you have extra guests), you can also rent portable comfort seats from us.
You can also rent an inflatable boat with a motor from us. This is fun for children, but also offers extra flexibility for quick excursions, running errands, or easily reaching a location you can't reach by yacht.

Are pets allowed?
Of course.
On both of our four-person ships, the Funcraft 1200 Mimarli and Succes 106 AC Vita Bella, you can bring your dog or other pet.

Are life jackets included in the rental?
Standard life jackets, for both children and adults, are available on board free of charge. Please inquire beforehand to ensure we have the correct size available.
If you would like additional inflatable life jackets, you can add them when booking (these are not included in the rental price).
A sailing holiday from the heart of Friesland
A major advantage of renting a yacht for a week or a half is the opportunity to take a long trip. This allows you to see much of what the north of the Netherlands has to offer. From our harbor in Akkrum, you can explore in all directions.
Various sailing routes will take you, for example, to Starteiland in the Sneekermeer lake, the chameleon village of Terherne, or the beauty and charm of one of the other Frisian lakes. But you can also head south: the Weerribben in Overijssel is a beautiful wooded sailing area. Don't hesitate to step off the boat and explore the area. Our yachts are equipped with a Marrekrite pennant, which means you can moor free of charge at one of the many Marrekrite moorings.
Introducing: Jachtwerf Oost in Akkrum
We are Jachtwerf Oost, established in 1968 and located in Akkrum, Friesland. We rent out eight beautiful motor yachts in total, six of which are also suitable for groups of four or more.
You may also know us as a yacht builder: we made our name as the builder of the Oostvaarder Kotterjachten, more than 120 of which have now sailed out of our harbor. With our yacht brokerage service, we also act as a partner for the sale and purchase of vessels. Feel free to contact us!
